Cancellation Policy

Please read these rules carefully before completing your reservation.

For hut stays (individual bookings)

About the deposit

Deposit: JPY 3,000 per person, per night
The amount is the same regardless of the meal plan.
The deposit is paid by credit card when the booking is made.

The deposit is non-refundable after the booking is confirmed, regardless of the reason.

How to cancel

Please cancel your reservation online by yourself. Phone or email requests do not replace the online cancellation procedure.

Cancellation fee timeline

Charged separately from the booking deposit

From booking confirmation until 11:59 PM, 5 days before the stay

No additional cancellation fee

No extra cancellation fee is charged in this period.

The deposit of JPY 3,000 per person, per night remains non-refundable.

From 12:00 AM, 4 days before the stay until 3:59 PM on the day of stay

Cancellation fee applies

A cancellation fee of JPY 5,000 per person, per night is charged in addition to the non-refundable deposit.

In total, JPY 8,000 per person, per night is retained or billed.

After 4:00 PM on the scheduled stay date

No-show charge

If the online cancellation has not been completed by 4:00 PM on the day of stay, or if you do not check in that day, the full accommodation fee becomes payable.

The remaining balance after deducting the paid deposit will be charged to the registered card.

How cancellation fees are paid

Cancellation fees are charged to the credit card registered when the deposit was paid.
If the payment cannot be completed, we may contact you separately.

Reservation changes

All reservation changes must be completed by the guest online.
Companion and emergency-contact information must be updated before entering the mountains.

Changing the stay date

Changes are free until 11:59 PM, 5 days before the stay.
After that point, direct date changes are not available.

If you need to move the stay from 4 days before the stay onward, please cancel the original booking, pay the applicable cancellation fee, and make a new reservation.

Changing the number of guests

Available until 3:59 PM on the day of stay, before check-in.

If guests are added, an extra deposit payment is required immediately.
If guests are removed, cancellation fees may apply depending on the timing.

Changing the meal plan

Meal-plan changes cannot be made online after confirmation.
Breakfast and packed lunch can be swapped at check-in on the stay date.
To add meals to a room-only booking, please contact us by email in advance.

Cancellation Credit

2026 season only

Guests who pay a cancellation fee during the 2026 season can receive a discount on a later hut stay in the same season.

Benefit

JPY 7,000 is discounted from the accommodation balance at the next check-in.

Eligibility

You paid both the deposit and the applicable cancellation fee for a 2026 hut reservation.
You complete another stay at Mitsumata-Sanso, Suisho-Goya, or Yumata-Sanso before the end of the 2026 season.
You can present photo identification and the previous reservation details at check-in.

※ Cancellations made on the day of arrival after 16:00, no-show cancellations, and group booking cancellations are not eligible.

For tent stays

Prepaid tent fee on designated reservation dates

Tent stays on designated dates are reservation-only.
Fee: JPY 2,500 per person, per night.
The full amount is prepaid by credit card at the time of booking.

No refunds are available after the reservation is confirmed.

No changes or cancellations are accepted after confirmation.
