Background
From the 2026 season, the Mitsumata-Sanso Group requires a credit-card deposit when booking a stay at Mitsumata-Sanso, Suisho-Goya, or Yumata-Sanso.
The goal is to reserve beds more fairly for guests who genuinely intend to stay and to reduce cases where capacity is blocked until the last minute and cannot be rebooked.
Because the huts operate in a mountain environment with limited staffing and transport, late vacancies are difficult to recover. The deposit system helps us keep the reservation operation sustainable while serving more guests smoothly.
