Yumata-Sanso operates in three periods: May 1-5, June 12-14, and July 18-November 7.

For hut stays

When reservations open

Online bookings open at 12:00 noon, 60 days before your stay.

Example: a stay on July 4, 2026 becomes bookable at noon on May 5, 2026.

For Yumata-Sanso stays between May 1 and June 14, 2026, bookings open from noon on April 4, 2026.

If you want consecutive nights at the same hut, the entire stay can be booked once the first night reaches the 60-day mark.

For tent stays

Tent stays on designated reservation dates are reservation-only and require advance payment by credit card. No refunds are available after confirmation. Refunds cannot be issued for any reason.

During Mitsumata-Sanso's operating season, tent camping is available every day, including dates shown as closed on the booking calendar. On dates other than the designated reservation dates, no advance reservation or prepayment is required. Please check in at reception on the day of your stay.

About the deposit

From the 2026 season, a deposit is required for stays at Mitsumata-Sanso, Suisho-Goya, and Yumata-Sanso.

JPY 3,000 per person, per night

The same amount applies regardless of the meal plan.

Your reservation is non-refundable after confirmation.
The deposit is paid by credit card.
Your reservation is confirmed once the payment is completed.
The remaining balance at the hut must be paid in cash at check-in.

Booking guide

Even if a date shows as fully booked, availability may reappear because cancellation fees start four days before the stay. The booking calendar updates in real time, so please check again if your preferred date is full.
